Corporate Worship

Every single week, on the Lord's Day, God himself graciously gathers his people together so that he might renew his covenant with them & serve them. When God serves his people in this way, he leads them, through the voice of his Word. He Calls us into his presence & we respond with praise & with confession of our sin. He Cleanses us of our sins, and we respond with thanksgiving. He Consecrates us by the instruction of his Word, and we respond by giving ourselves to him. He then invites us to his table so that we might enjoy Communion with him. After being thus renewed, refreshed, & strengthened for sacrificial, faithful living in his kingdom, God then gives us his blessing. We receive that blessing as a Commission to enjoy his rest for the remainder of the Lord's Day & to confidently enter into our various vocations during the rest of the week as holy callings from God, serving the world in his name.

Shepherding Groups

On the last Sunday of every month, Cornerstone meets in small groups ("Shepherding Groups") rather than meeting corporately in our normal evening worship service. This is an enjoyable time for small group fellowship, including a time of group discussion which will be tied to the morning sermon series.

1st Wednesdays

On the 1st Wednesday of each month, we gather together for a potluck meal. After the meal we enjoy singing together, hearing a brief and edifying story from church history, and then we spend some time praying together for the work of God's Kingdom in our own generation.

Fellowship Meals

Believing & belonging go together, so we want to promote & enhance our sense of "belonging" to one another. Much of that happens over food. In addition to being a church that regularly practices hospitality, Cornerstone gathers for a large-group fellowship meal together on the 2nd Sunday of every other month.

Women's Ministries

The Women's Ministry exists to foster ministry by, for, and to women. The ladies gather weekly for Bible Study, prayer, & mutual encouragement. They also gather occasionally for special times of fellowship or for service-oriented events.

Men's Ministries

The men of Cornerstone meet together at least every other month for a Saturday morning breakfast, followed by either a Bible study, a book study, a time of lively discussion, or a service project. We hope our fellowship together will encourage us all to pursue with excellence our roles at work, at home, at church, & in society.

Family Ministries

Cornerstone also seeks to promote healthy times of nuclear-family & broader church-family interaction with occasional activities for Families or for Men & Boys together, or for Women & Girls together, etc. Cornerstone desires to be especially supportive of the institution of the family by investing in all the members of the family a Biblical understanding of their particular role. We want to nurture, teach, & reinforce the priority of family health & faithfulness.

Children/Youth Ministries

We desire to see our children grow up in their love for Christ & their knowledge of His Word. In addition to our discipleship ministries (Christian Education, Vacation Bible School, Catechism & Bible Memory, occasional times of study with the Pastor, etc.), we also want to promote healthy times of fellowship & fun for our children. These events are organized and led by a rotation of parents working together.

Church Retreat/Conference

Every year Cornerstone hopes to host at least one retreat or conference (with a special guest speaker) for the purpose of concentrated fellowship & study. Presently, we're working towards a family-oriented conference, with an emphasis on what the Bible has to say about child-rearing.
