Worship

Every Sunday the people of Cornerstone come together to participate in worship. Sunday morning worship is the center point of the Christian life wherein the Lord calls us together to worship him corporately through the ministry of his Word and Sacraments, and thereby reminds us of his covenantal love and faithfulness.

Worship at Cornerstone PCA - St. Louis

The Sunday morning worship service is composed of many elements that lead us to the Cross of Jesus. The worship service begins with the Lord calling us into his presence through Scripture. It is followed by a cleansing of our sins through corporate and personal confession whereby we are then assured of the grace that we have through Christ Jesus. Each Sunday we read from both the Old and New Testaments and we are faithfully instructed through the preaching of God’s Word. At the end of morning worship we celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. The worship service has congregational singing throughout.

We invite to the Lord’s Table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus Christ. By eating the bread and drinking the wine with us as a guest, you are acknowledging to the elders of this local church that you are in covenant with God, and that you desire to live and die as a member of his Church. You are confessing that you are a sinner, without hope except in the sovereign mercy of God, and that you are trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

Our worship service outline can be found in our weekly bulletin.
